I wasn’t looking for a “job” when I found Younique. I remember being added to an online mascara party on facebook in the summer of 2014. I saw a couple mascara posts but I didn’t think much of it. But a few days later I saw a few of my friends had ordered the mascara and their lashes looked amazing so I decided to order too. When I got the mascara in the mail, I was blown away by the results and immediately asked the girl I had bought it from (a presenter) if I could host a party to get some free stuff! She of course said yes and even asked me if I wanted to join her team, I declined
We set up the online party and my friends were going crazy over the mascara photos she was sharing. I decided to do some research and give the business opportunity a second chance! After researching like crazy I decided it was worth a shot! Worst case- I get a ton of makeup for $99. Best case, I make a little extra money! In fact- I told my husband that my goal was to make $200 to blow at Target on the kiddos!
I truly feel like the rest is history! I started sharing the products I love through social media and making money! The first time I got an email telling me I had been paid (while sitting at home with my two kids) I was hooked! I literally wanted to let everyone know about the makeup and the opportunity to make money from ANYWHERE!
Being a Military family that moved a lot with two kiddos at home, this was the PERFECT fit! I was already on social media so sharing a photo here and there was something I could handle even with a baby and a 3 year old at home!
My husband, Blake, and I have been married 11 years. It’s embarrassing to say but I can never remember our anniversary date, so I always have to cheat by looking at the engraving on Blake’s ring (BTW it was so worth the extra $10 to add that on.)
We have two kiddos, Riley and Jackson, and a Golden Doodle named Avett. We’re an active family, always looking for adventure and often times have no idea what’s for dinner. I had no makeup skills, a hubby always gone with the Military and 2 young kids (one nursing around the clock). I was also living in a state where I knew no one!
I didn’t have a resume for this business but what I did have was a desire for more, a willingness to learn and finally brave enough to take a chance on me. 🙌🏻

In 2014 when I joined Younique I was a stay at home mom to 2 kiddos; Riley and Jackson. At the time they were 3.5 years old and 9 months old so needless to say I was super busy taking care of them and the normal momma/wife duties! One of the biggest reasons Younique appealed to me was because I could work from home on my cell phone through social media! I was already updating family and friends through facebook so why not get paid for sharing products that I loved doing the same thing!
One of the first things I did with the commission I was receiving from Younique was join a Crossfit box! Crossfit can be expensive and it just wasn’t in the budget prior to Younique! Now that Crossfit has become such a huge part of my life (I work out daily at 5am!) that I can’t even imagine not taking part in it!
Younique has also given us the freedom to travel! My husband had to spend 2 months in Hawaii with his job and there was no way I was missing out on that trip! So I got tickets for me and the kiddos and we joined him in Oahu for 8 weeks! It was amazing to vacation and the best part was that I could continue working my business while enjoying the beach life!
When I first heard of the Wall of Influence, it was a goal of mine to accomplish, but I thought it was at least 5+ years away. So reaching that milestone just 3 years into my business with Younique blew me away!
But here’s the deal - earning the Wall of Influence wasn’t something I accomplished alone - in fact my sales for the month I promoted didn’t even count! I know that may seem confusing but within our company our main focusing is helping others! You see... I don’t’ succeed unless I can teach my team to have success!
So what is Wall of Influence you may be asking? Let’s break it down real quick: our compensation plan ranks are recognized by color statuses. A presenter is white status when they join our company and from there on out there are 5 promotion before reaching the 6th (& top) promotion of Black Status. There are many bonuses throughout the whole compensation plan (like a car bonus available to all ranks!) but once you reach Black Status there are 3 bonuses available. Black
