If you need a great snack to take to the pool or to fill up those little bellies this summer, you have to try these energy balls!

Typically I triple this recipe because my family is obsessed and they never last long. The m&m’s at the end of the recipe are optional. We’ve also done banana chips. But we don’t do candy or sweets very often so this is a fun treat for all of us!

1 cup old fashioned oats
1/4 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup ground flaxseeds
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
1/3 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup of mini-m&m’s or banana chips

Mix everything together then put in fridge for 30 minutes (or longer!) Before putting in fridge, make sure all mixture has mixed well, if you have dry mix in the bottom of the bowl, you will be wasting ingredients because won’t stick together!

Once your ingredients have gotten cold they will now be easy to roll into balls! I typically do bite size balls to make it easiest for the kids!

Enjoy!

Our favorite brands:
