Love it when “real life” & business relate! Sorry this is #LONG but it's a little motivation for you!!!

This morning at the Crossfit gym our workout was to find our one rep max of a squat clean. For those who don’t know much about CFwe do that from time to time to keep track of our progress. At the beginning of the year I set a huge goal for myself... like a goal that’s almost out of reach: to hit 200 lbs. 😱

So prior to this AM, my previous max was from Nov. 8, 2018 @ 165 lbs. I have hit it just that one time, and I remember how hard it was. 😬 But the last 8 months I’ve done the cardio, the pull-ups, and everything in between that our Crossfit gym does; I have even added running to the mix. I love Crossfit, but lifting is my favorite. "All that other stuff” isn’t always exciting to me, BUT I want a healthy, strong body. So, I showed up to the gym, even when there were workouts I didn’t want to do or workouts that weren’t my favorite type, because I just love working out.

So back to this morning... my only objective was to get warmed up & lift. Our coach said we should be able to get a 5 lb gain on our previous lift with the training we’ve been doing. So I start getting warmed up, and soon I found myself at my previous one rep max: 165 lbs.

😫I missed it. I dropped the bar to the front because I was on my toes.

So I rested, thinking in my head what I had done wrong.

🤨 I tried again, this time making sure not to lean too forward; however, I over exaggerated my pull and fell backwards.

So I tried again one more time. I told myself, “You’ve done this before. You CAN do it again!” This time my pull was right, but I couldn’t stand up because my core didn't stay tight. 🙈🙈🙈

Now... that’s 3 misses. Most people would have quit. But I took off 5 lbs and went at it again!

160 lbs: I hit the lift—it was beautiful & felt easy. So, I added the weight back up to 165 lbs and tried again... GOT IT!

I added weight....

170 lbs: fell backwards

I tried again... GOT IT!

I added weight up to 175 lbs & got it on the first try!!!

I know this is so long and y’all can’t believe someone cares this much about weightlifting, but this truly relates to everything in your business and life!!! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

🚨 Show upeven when you don’t want to do the little things. All those little things add up over time!! They are the skills we need!!

🚨 You may get knocked down, but GET UP & tell yourself “I CAN DO THIS!” Even when other people are throwing in the towel, when you feel like business is slow, when everyone is ignoring you, when things just aren’t going your waystay the course because you never know... that next message could be the winner or in my case the perfect lift! 🙌🏻💪🏻

The people in the gym today (P.S. all guys except me and one other girl 😬) probably thought I was crazy, but I walked out of there so proud of myself and guess what??? Their thoughts on my performance or on my determination to win doesn’t matter. 🙌🏻😋
